We're excited to announce that a second major university has joined Dinmar Labs as a clinical trial and development partner. With this agreement, we are launching our first prospective, multi-site clinical study spanning sites in the United States and the United Kingdom.
From retrospective to prospective
Until now, our validation work has been retrospective — testing our models on archived scans where the outcome is already known. A prospective study is different: the AI runs on new patient scans as they are acquired, alongside the normal clinical workflow. This is the gold standard for understanding how a technology performs in the real world.
Study design
The study, conducted with both university partners, is designed to measure:
- Diagnostic accuracy — sensitivity and specificity of AI-assisted reads compared with standard reads
- Time-to-review — how quickly studies with urgent findings reach a radiologist when AI triage is active
- Reader impact — how often AI findings change a clinician's assessment
- Workflow fit — usability, reading time and clinician confidence
All findings are reviewed by clinicians, and patient care decisions remain entirely in the hands of the treating physicians.
"Two world-class partners on two continents gives us the diversity of data and expertise we need to show that this technology works for everyone."
— Roger Dinmar, Founder & CEOA shared commitment
Both partners bring distinct strengths: one with deep experience in large-scale clinical imaging operations, the other with leading research in neuroimaging and AI methodology. Together, they'll help us refine our models and generate the evidence needed for future regulatory submissions.
Enrollment begins this summer. We'll share updates as the study progresses.
