We're proud to announce that Dinmar Labs has been awarded a competitive research innovation grant — our first outside funding and a strong vote of confidence in our approach to AI-assisted diagnostic imaging.
What the grant supports
Until now, Dinmar Labs has been funded by our founder and a small group of early supporters. This grant allows us to accelerate in three key areas:
- Data expansion. Licensing and curating additional de-identified CT datasets to improve the diversity of our training data across scanner types, protocols and patient populations.
- Team growth. Hiring our first full-time machine learning engineers to join the founding team in Baltimore.
- Compute. Scaling our GPU training infrastructure so we can iterate on 3D models faster.
"This grant tells us that experienced reviewers see what we see: machine vision can meaningfully improve early diagnosis. Now we have the resources to prove it at scale."

Grant funding lets us focus on the science before the business. It gives us room to build rigorous foundations — clean data, reproducible experiments and honest evaluation — which will matter enormously when we approach clinical partners and investors.
Looking ahead to 2024
With new team members starting before year-end, our 2024 goals are ambitious: build a production-grade data pipeline, establish our first academic research partnership, and extend our technology beyond lung CT. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey so far.
